For Rory

yesterday was the rory memorial gig at palatine road bridge club. the venue was small, turnout was amazing, crowd was goin' off, the bands all played amazing and everyone had a really good time i reckon, it was a really nice way to celebrate the life of Rory. The event raised money for a memorial bench to be sited in Fletcher Moss in Didsbury, and loads of money was raised thanks to the generosity of all the attendees. here are some photos of the bands that played (Freed, Alecto, Pentatonic, Rhythmic Coughing).

Alecto 1+2

mike goram - lots of fun lights, dizzy fun time!

andreas - i was on the front row for pentatonic hence the more involved photos, the crowd was goin' off for both pentatonic and rhythmic coughing, some reet moshing pits goin oan.

andreas and finn rocking out like some crazed moshers, nice, but crazed.

waav again, proper reet basswork.

what the hell is this! waav central or what, he took his t-shirt off later on in the set, lovely stuff.

check andreas, flaming head, flaming hand. (photography trick intended of course (as if you're gonna believe that!)).

whats this? this isnt techno! but the photo is - nick with some thought provoking lighting.

andreas

loz of rhythmic coughing plays to a crowd of happy kids, check the t-shirt matching girls at the front, photography trick probably?

loz and olly rhythmically rock out

the crowd of happy students rhythmically rock out. check it!

barcelona chapter 2 : b&w phase

here are the second lot of photos from barcelona, chapter 3 shall be along very soon as i scanned in all of the remaining 70 slides yesterday, it took hours. anyway, these photos are from 2 different days in barca.

random barcelona architecture

mike "aw he is so cute!" siddall

gaz statue trippin'

gaz and jack, we met jack on the ramblas - or rather he met us by intercepting gaz in such a manner that made us fear we were being robbed. he turned out as a mild mannered 19 year old from las vegas, and showed us plenty of excellent spots on the day we were awoken at 9am due to bug-blasting in the hostel rooms. here is the result...

tommy gore, sidewalk trippin'. the 7 amigos had to take refuge where they could to gain the extra 3 hours of sleep they had missed, 3 chose the beach, the remaining 4 chose the street outside dunkin donuts - for 3 hours, only to move on to subway straight afterwards.

fake statue? no, statue fakie. no fakeness here, none at all.

little boy blue gary hunt

tommy gore, camera trippin'

gary sporting an opposite 180 up and onto the besos platform. this spot is amazing, and the besos waves are around the corner, lovely, beautiful, excellent, brilliant.

clarky storytelling

tommy "aitken" gore, this is ridiculous. he cleared the entire platform and almost cleared a passing child of their head. gore!

'orrible - matt coram

invertatious - tommy gore

in my eyes

sean X3 in dusseldorf, germany, may 04. i thought i would apologise for the last post in case anyone got the wrong impression, the comments in relation to the security guards are merely afterthoughts on the incidents that took place, also, it sounds like i am showing off about it. this is not the case, i and everyone i ride with understands the authority that any security guard holds and we respect that. we have never talked back to any security guard and never will, we just found the cases on wednesday amusing afterwards, so i am sorry for giving the wrong impression to anyone and i completely agree with the comment made on the previous post. anyway in more positive matters, those photos are of sean malone on the germany trip last year, probably my favourite trip of the year, hopefully we shall see more of the same this year.

soco amaretto lime

a load of good films just came out today, at least i hope they're good anyway. i bought lost in translation on wednesday, it was amazing, tommy also added to his collection with another truckload of dvd's. were being "named and shamed" apparently for riding, or so we were told by them women in those red uniforms (they didnt get our names, and we arent really ashamed for having fun, so sorry manchester evening news). on that note, yesterday in manch was pretty ace, that mike and that gidge came out and john from wrexham, and so the crew was a whopping 7 dudes. on the security guard thread we were asked if wanted to kill someone by the amc security guard, not sure what he was implying with that...

pen-ta-ton-ic

i went to the alecto and pentatonic show yesterday with some dudes. the show was done for charity and indeed a lot was raised, and all it took was a room packed with filthy moshers (joking) and 2 bands. the photos are all of pentatonic as i managed to be on the front row... nearly. their show was amazing and andreas was very entertaining and i was psyched on taking some band photos for once!

andreas "rocking out"

mike goram on the bass there, michael has skills

thats finn on the right, buff!

look closer

thats some speedy fingerwork right there, nick is on the left, goram on the right

andreas on a visit to the crowd, looking rather contemplative. on return to the stage he unplugged his mic by accident but held it together like a pro. buff!
i wanted to put a link to this next photo but links are for kids, so this is andreas in his element:

anniversary

it has been a year now since i put up my first posts on wdphotos.com and what a year! hopefully 2005 will see some better photos and more documentation of what i see through the lens, thats basically more descriptive writing.

i decided to celebrate my year of this website with a photo from Vancouver B.C. of me standing underneath an actors study centre. lets see if 2005 wdphotos can out-do 2004 wdphotos shall we!

Narnia

i haven't posted for the past 2 weeks because i have been way busy and also been away, so for the thousanth time i find myself apologising for lack of postaging, this i know should have been rectified by now, but website has had to take the backbench for a bit. over the next few weeks i shall be on the computer more, and on the bike less due to large amounts of college work and also not wanting to get hurt in preparation for the college skiing trip to New Hampshire north of Boston in the US. needless to say i cannot wait, it will be amazing and its in february, treats! these two photos arent even taken by me!so mad props to my father for taking these lovely images from wales at christmas time, it snowed merrily as you can see.
